Summary of sounds used in motion graphics project: Music track: "Long Road Ahead" is a royalty-free track sourced from incompetech: https://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=usuan1100588 This music was chosen to emphasise the triumphant nature of the character backstory. It was intentionally edited to sync up with some of the visual elements of the trailer, most notably the logo's appearance at the end. "Footsteps on gravel" sound used in the first shot was captured by myself. I couldn't get the sound to recede away from the microphone, so instead I made the footsteps fade away in post. Thunderstorm sound used in the second scene was also captured by myself, during a recent storm. This sound in particular adds an element of pathetic fallacy, which works well with the chaotic nature of the scene it's used in. Sea ambience and battle sounds used in the second scene were sourced from royalty free tracks. This brings the total sounds used to 5 for this project, 2 of which were captured by myself. Each sound was tweaked in post using After Effects' built-in audio functions, such as volume control, to add fade-in and fade-out effects where appropriate. Sounds used in final major project ("Dethroned"): Ambience used in 1st and 2nd rooms is sourced from freesound.org: https://freesound.org/people/DrMinky/sounds/166187/ Music used in 3rd room is sourced from "Darkest Dungeon" soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpIBKNxSeZU This sound was implemented using a box trigger when the player enters the 3rd room, which is an example of adaptive audio, adding to the interactive element of the environment. Door sounds are foley recorded by myself, as well as the sound for picking up the documents. A total of 7 sounds were used for this project, 5 of which were my own recordings. Each one except the ambience sounds were also edited using Audacity, to reduce file size and timing of the sounds.
